No special instruments or tools are required to check the brake fluid level. Just look to see if the fluid level is between the minimum and the maximum.
If you are not sure how to clearly distinguish the liquid from the container, shake the tank by hand. If the fluid level is below the minimum mark, there is probably an issue and you need to visit your service technician.
