Auto Plus, Subotica
In one’s own rhythm
This time, the team of the TotalEnergies Caravan through Serbia series is taking you to a city of cheerful colors and a playful spirit. Richly decorated buildings from the period of secession, traces of multiculturalism at every step, extraordinarily rich cultural heritage, European charm and jazz music make Subotica a city of unusual beauty, fluttering spirit and refined rhythm.
Our host in the far north of Serbia gave the beat to his car service tune more than 20 years ago, when he started a business in a duet with his friend, and then was gradually building up and expanding the "orchestra" as the needs for it appeared. Now he sets the rhythm not only for the eight employees in his car service and shop, but also with his drums sticks, when he takes a break after a whole day of responding to the tasks and needs of clients.
He also gave a beat to our team, taking us into a meditative state. We were lured by the hypnotizing sound of an unusual, rather new instrument, towards the sparkling pearl of Vojvodina, the shore of Lake Palic that exudes peace and harmony. We were introduced to it by one of the world's, yet ours, rare female jazzers, saxophonist, professor, scientist and yogi, who manages to connect all her loves and interests in one composition in an unusual way.
We hope that the gallery below can faithfully convey the ambience of Subotica, Palic and our hosts. There are various symphonies in the repertoire, so feel free to watch the other episodes of TotalEnergies Caravan through Serbia, we believe that we "hit" everyone's note and taste.
