"Youth Safety in Traffic" forum

In cooperation with the Road Traffic Safety Agency and the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering in Belgrade, a forum under the name "Youth Safety in Traffic" was organized with the goal of pointing out the risk factors in traffic to new, young drivers and giving them an insight into the most common mistakes and the severity of the consequences of risky behavior for all traffic participants.

The forum was addressed by the dean of the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering, Nebojša Bojović, PhD, the head of the Department of Traffic Safety, Prof. Krsto Lipovac, PhD, and the acting director of the Road Traffic Safety Agency, Branko Stamatović. Following them, professional drivers Dušan Borković and Nikola Miljković, as well as representatives from TotalEnergies, spoke at the forum. Milan Srdić, the associate for professional prevention and education, delivered the closing remarks. Through this interactive lecture and examples from everyday situations that can happen in traffic, important messages were conveyed to the students about the importance of safe behavior in traffic, and an appeal was made to respect speed limits and traffic regulations.

Students used a simulator to experience a head-on collision and a vehicle toppling on the plateau in front of the Faculty in controlled, safe conditions. On that occasion, TotalEnergies gave more than 20 vouchers for the Starter training on safe driving at the "NAVAK" Training Center to the participants.

"We want to provide an opportunity for new drivers to gain more security while driving and familiarize themselves with different situations that can occur on the road, in addition to sharing the best practices of a global company at the local level." As a result, we've provided over 20 vouchers for introductory safe driving training at the NAVAK center. Again, safety is always a priority for us. Therefore, we invite other companies to join us in promoting it because we believe that by working together, we can create positive change and safeguard all road users," said Emilija Živaljević, speaking on behalf of TotalEnergies.
